Up or Down?

Besides gowns, the most important question on the day would be my hair. Due to our inability to trust the hair "stylist" in Prov, I haven't have my hair done in anyway since I am here. Now I have the longest hair I ever had. At the same time, I am wondering what kind of hair style I am going to have. If I am putting it down, there will be a lot of hair all over me. So it is out. The question would, an up do? or half up half down?

Half up-Half Down would let me still have some hair showing in the front

Even if I go for up do, I will put the bun on the side so that it can show...

and the curls looks lovely too, not the ribbon though

oh yes, I would love to have flowers on too!

Gown Try-on Second Round!

For my dream dress, here we go again! This time, we are trying to find something more inexpensive. Spending thousands of dollar for a dress that you are going to only wear it once isn't so wise, especially when the both of us are still student. So we have our ideal dress in mind, have our price limit in mind and here we go again.

We tried on these

and this time was actually not as promising as expected. I liked the dress, but I didn't love them. Again, it helps me to confirm that I would like to have a ball gown with chapel train. These are from $400 - $800 USD. But then you have to pay extra for alteration, which will be an extra 100 bucks. But the most disappointing thing is, it takes them weekssss to get you the dress. Surprisingly,DB does not have any stocks although it is a huge chain-store. They will start ordering/making your dress after they receive your order. Not so surprisingly, their oversea factory is of course our great great home country...then they take another month doing the alteration...so by the time they can give me my dress, I will already be left. So, we finally decide we will wait until i get back and either rent my dress or buy in in GZ.

Still my favourite one...

Well, I admit that I have been viewing the David's Bridal for years......after trying on gowns in DB finally, I kind of have a better idea of what kind of dress I like, and will look good on me. When I was browsing how people sell 2nd hand gown, I found my long lost favorite gown, again a Oleg Cassini.

I like the lace, the elegance, the flow and volume of the skirt. The style of the veil is wonderful too....unfortunately, DB doesn't have it anymore. Well, I am considering tailor made it in GZ, if it isn't so expensive and I can trust the tailor.
